Old School Fashion In 2019

Today  the youth ( young adults and teens) are the source for bringing old school fashion. It seems like the fashion styles of our past are coming back, it’s so retro. The main ingredients of bring old school fashion rewards in 2019 is the era from 1970s through 1990s. How can we forget the tops hats,  off shoulders, bell bottoms and of course the petticoats era of the past that did come back in 2018-19. We are pleased to see it happen and we will and are experiencing a great comeback of the popular fashion styles from the past. It is not only about clothing but it is apparent in our accessories and even our hairstyles. One of the major reasons of a comeback in fashion is maybe the fascination with the past.

Nowadays the youth thinks that the old school fashion to be cool, especially with the comfortable fabrics , wide range of colours etc that can be showy and casual at the same time. Fashion keeps on repeating itself, but it is also evolving, which means some kind of weird trend may come back but it can be tolerated and can get fixed with some sort of good accessories, hairstyles and makeup.

Coming down to the eras from 1970s through 1990s :

Some of the people thinks that the fashion in the period of 70s was versatile and influential in the history of fashion . Some of them includes platform boots,Afro hairstyles, Crochet Tassels and laces ('peasant' influenced fashion), Bell bottoms or 'flairs.'Some of the trends that emerged in the ‘60s were still around, and even more popular in the ‘70s (the afro, the bell bottoms, the lace-up peasant tops). The era also brought some new trends such as punk, disco, and glam rock, so we will focus on them, as we have already talked about the previous ones. Whereas in 2019 the Paris fashion week, it represents the ‘70s glam rock girl perfectly: turbans, all over sequined mini dresses, platforms, hats, thin scarves, fur, flared pants, patchwork dresses, animal print and glitter scarves, , leather minis, floral dresswith military prints.

The era of 70s was one of the popular era which bought us a tremendous and some of the versatile styles in our fashion industry. While in the next era that is the 80s bought some of the worst fashion trends and made some of the major mistakes in style statements. Though some of the fashion trends really made their stands and they did experiments which were able to stand out in 1980s which includes bold lips, neon colors, shoulder pads, block heels, ripped jeans , fur coats , wearing leggings as pants etc that did came in 2019 and worked very well for the teens and young adults specially. For eg., Reese Witherspoon is looking really feminine with a denim jacket, sweet skater skirts  and cool shades and ankle booties. 

After the glitz and the glam of the previous decades, the recession took over ‘90s fashion is all about grunge ‘ and minimalism. The people in 90s were used to know as the Weirdos Mister of 90s. Even the rockstars of that era wanted to look like struggling musicians— basically everything related to fashion was termed as understated. In 90s some of the trends used to give a very classic, messy and grungy look to make the fashion statement more bold and beautiful and even more attractive. Some of the trends that still works good and gives us a fashion statement even in today’s era . That’s includes  dark berry tone lips , chokers, braids and buns , over knee socks , bell bottoms, off shoulders , polka dots etc which still gives us a very classy, trendy and gives a tint of a vintage look. For eg.,Kylie and Kendall Jenner to thank for the return of unnatural punky hair colors, dark lips and chokers. 

There are still many more old fashioned things which did set an example for the people but maybe they didn’t really came out well but some of the outfits worked very well and still they are working even today in our generation. The only thing I can say is there are many of the fashion trends that came and will be coming in future but the retro fashion trend is going to last forever no matter what maybe in clothes, makeup, accessories or the hairstyles but the retro trend is never going to end . The stylist and the designers are going to show it 

in different manner or different style but the aren’t going to get over it .
