Compulsion for women to wear heels

Compulsion for women to wear heels
This is an idea that originated in the Western European world. In large events and meets the one thing common among all women is not designer wear but the heels in their feet. In 2015, some women were turned away from the Cannes Festival for not wearing heels, this is a very shallow thought and practice followed in various parts of the world.

There are some women who make their own rules, they are fashion rebels, heels is not a compulsion it is a matter of choice that varies from person to person. There are even some women who have dared to walk the red carpet barefoot as a rebel for heels. In 2016 Julia Roberts walked the red carpet barefoot registering her protest against the 2015 “Heelgate” controversy. Kristen Stewart also raised her voice and she stated “if you don’t tell guys to wear heels and dress up, you can’t tell me either”.
Such bold steps by important people make a difference in the world. It is also said that heels compliment the formal dress code and gives a good posture to the body of a female wearing it but there should not be such strict rules about women wearing heels.

This is a social issue, the thinking of people effects everything related to this topic. People should understand that it is a matter of choice for women to dress up the way they want to and not obey any social bondage in reference to dressing up.

Time is now changing, women are raising their voice against dressing code and specially against the compulsion of women wearing heels. Heels are a symbol of power, they make the person tall which means to be heard and seen by other people. But there should always be a freedom of choice whether to wear them or not.
