Fashion : artistic commerce or commercial art?

Have a look at image , is it some kind of art on the garment? Or it's just a cloth to cover up the body? Well , let's figure out.
My name is vivek , Fashion communication student and today i am exploring that if fashion is an art or just commercial business. Garment industry is the second largest industry of the world , after fuel. People wearing clothes everyday , it's started as necessity but things changed. Now , people are being more conscious and thoughtful of what type of garments they should wear. And there's the place where artistic view of the industry comes in.
Abstract , minimalism , silhouette, shapes , designs , colours , and the status . Now , clothes are not necessity anymore, it becomes fashion , trend , and the way of expression. Here comes the debate , so fashion is the artistic work or commercial business?
Well , it's both. It's matter of creating the right subset of the art and the commerce. Cloth should be expressive , rich in design but as well comfortable , affordable . Minimalism is the perfect example of this subset. Minimalism designs are very cool , expressive as well as it's practically possible for mass production.
So not the art , not the commerce , it's subset . Be thoughtful , Enjoy creativity and affordability.
